Wednesday Hodgepodge {Vol. XV}

1.  Many families have a story they love to tell every year around a holiday. Does your family have one? Are you the star of that story, or does another family member take center stage? Share your story if you want.

We do not have a story that we tell as a family. I seriously had to think about this for a long time and cannot come up with one at all.

2. Are you afraid to speak your own opinion?

Sometimes. It depends on the situation. I choose not discuss my opinion of  religion or politics. It's just not worth the arguments or ended relationships. There are times when I can tell speaking my opinion will not matter so I choose to save my breath.

3. Pantone has announced the color of the year for 2016, and for the first time have chosen two shades-rose quartz and serenity. Hmmm...did you know serenity was a color? You can read the thought behind their selection here, but essentially it's blending the warmth of rose quartz with the tranquility of a very soft shade of blue. So what do you think? Are these colors I'd find in your home or wardrobe? Will you add something in these shades to either place in the new year?

I love these colors together. I doubt you would see them in my home or my wardrobe. These are not colors I look good in. Also these colors wouldn't be allowed anywhere in my home. I would love to have a bedroom using this shade.

4. If you could be in a Christmas carol, which one would you choose? Why?

Carol of the Bells? I don't know why, it's just one of the very few that I like. I'm not very big Christmas carol person.

5. December 9th is National Pastry Day. Will you celebrate? When did you last purchase something from a bakery? What's your favorite treat that falls under the heading of pastry? Do you make it yourself or buy from the professionals?

More than likely not. I don't really eat pastries much since I went gluten free. I do occasionally sneak a Krispy Kreme donut because let's face it, they are worth a headache.

6. When it comes to holiday decorating_____________________________.

I am really slack. I don't remember the last time I really decorated for Christmas. It's been at least 10 years ago. Isn't that sad? Where I am right now is so tiny that there is no room for decorating; there's barely enough room for the 9 of us and our things. Hence, why I am so eager to move. Hopefully next year I can decorate really good like I used to.

7. When did you last laugh so much it hurt? Explain.

Last night. We were visiting a neighbor and whenever the 3 of us (me, husband, and neighbor) get together there is usually a good deal of laughter so much it hurts.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

When we went to Home Depot last week to build their monthly craft, they had a Santa at the store for the kids. My oldest two never go to these because it is their escape from their younger siblings. My youngest wanted nothing to do with Santa. But, I did manage to get pictures of both sets of twins with Santa.
