This week's Multiples and More Question of the Week is:
How do you encourage healthy sleep habits in your children?

■When they were infants, how did you get your babies to sleep/nap at the same time?
I never had a problem with them not sleeping at the same time. Some times I wish one would have been awake when the other one was asleep so I could've had more one - on - one time with them. It never happened though. I guess I'm considered lucky in the sense that they were on the same schedule since birth.
■If they wake up early from a nap, how did/do you handle that?
My philosophy on babies sleeping is they slept when sleepy. So, in a sense, there was no waking up early from a nap.
■Do you have a minimum amount of time that you want your babies to sleep, or at least rest in their cribs for?
No. I. of course, wanted them to get the healthy amount of daily sleep but I didn't expect more than that.
■Napping transitions (this is a big one!): How did/do you handle the situation of going from two naps to one, when one child is ready and the other(s) were not?
I really saw no difference. But then again, I had 2 singletons before my first set of twins so if one wanted to be awake, I already had kids awake.
■If you have older multiples- how did the transition to toddler beds affect their sleep patterns? When did naps *gasp* come to an end?
Naps ended around 1 year - 18 months. They just decided naps were no longer desired. If they do fall asleep for a nap in the early afternoon, they will be up half the night *sigh* . They went straight from cribs/my bed to a regular bed.
Wow... apparently I have life pretty easy. I never realized it.... LOL
